GHASP - 20 years of fighting for clean air

GHASP has worked for 20 years to educate the public, industry, business leaders, regulators and lawmakers on Houston's poor air quality and to help implement changes in the regulatory process. GHASP is the only truly independent voice solely focused on decreasing air pollution for the better health of all the region's residents.

GHASP remains a vigilant protector of the air quality improvements to date and an aggressive activist fighting for the improvements yet to be achieved. Our goals are:

• Distribute unfiltered results of scientific studies on toxic air pollution in the Houston region to targeted communities.
• Help communities identify sources of exposure to toxic air pollution and help educate these communities on how to reduce their exposure.
• Help to influence public policy on environmental health issues and air quality in order to protect the health of residents and improve their quality of life.

GHASP will continue to be the area's leader in researching and reporting important air quality issues, and GHASP will continue to take our clean air message to the decision-makers: EPA, TCEQ, elected officials and industry.
